The
Moravian Morning Star hangs in the
Hurd Academic Complex at Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA. Each of its 26 points is the tip of a square or triangular pyramid made of molded glass.  |
 Sculptor Dan Kaintz, who ordinarily works in granite, collaborated with Taylor Backes to produce the pyramids that are comprised in the piece. Weighing 800 pounds, the Moravian Star measures 9 feet from top to bottom and has a diameter of 5 feet. |
